Align Technology first marketed Invisalign in 1999, so they have more than two decades of experience with what works in clear aligners. That does not mean, however, that Align Technology is done with improving Invisalign. New options are regularly provided to our Yuba City dentists, thanks in part to Invisalign’s robust in-house research department.
Align Technology also supports research by other institutions. They recently announced the release of more than $300,000 for use by universities in North and South America, Europe, and Asia. This research supports the efforts of the more than 230,000 dentists that use Invisalign and the 14 million people who have already received Invisalign treatment.
What the Research Shows
As a result of Invisalign’s use and support of further research, it is the most studied clear aligner treatment available to our patients. These are just a sampling of the Invisalign studies conducted over the last two years. The variety of topics illustrates that researchers are interested in the treatments that are possible with Invisalign, the effectiveness of Invisalign, and the value of different treatment options.
What it tells you as one of our patients is that Invisalign is the most tested system in clear aligners. The information from these studies is applied to Align Technology products across the board.
